Language Arts

Reading should not be presented to children as a chore or duty.  It should be offered to them as a precious gift.
—Kate DiCamillo

Reading Workshop: Students learn and practice comprehension skills and strategies through class read alouds, guided reading, shared reading, and independent reading.
Writing Workshop: Students learn and write in a variety of narrative and non-narrative genres. Through writing, students develop grammar skills.
